The United States Army Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program has developed a comprehensive competition to test and improve Soldier readiness across the spectrum of total force fitness.

The BOSS Strong Competition is a two phase competition held from August 6, 2018 - November 12, 2018.  The first 8 weeks of the competition will be conducted at the Soldiers home installation from August 6, 2018 - September 30, 2018 and the championship phase will be conducted on Fort Bragg, NC from October 26, 2018 - November 12, 2018.

Each team will be comprised of six (6) single Service Members or geographical bachelors; the competition is scaled such that a peer-to-peer approach, with a team of three physically fit Service Members partnered with three Service Members with significant room for fitness improvement having an advantage to winning. Phase one will employ Garrison Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) facilities and programs, along with a rigorous fitness regimen provided by the Army BOSS Program at each garrison around the world.  The competition focus will directly impact the Service Members readiness, resilience, and overall fitness.  Each Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate will then send one winning team to Fort Bragg, NC once a winning team has been identified, to participate in the championship phase.

Open to Single Servicemembers only.
