FORT BRAGG SCHOOLS UTILIZING HPCON CHARLIE:

100% remote learning.

 

When HPCON level changes to Bravo, student options include:

1.  On Campus Learning.  Students will attend school full-time with regular instruction from teachers.  Remote learning will no longer be an option.

2.  DoDEA Virtual School.  This is a separate school with its own principal.  Families can either do half year or full year for grades K-8.  Whether or not in person learning is restored, the DoDEA Virtual School will continue throughout the 2020-2021 school year.  Virtual school is different than remote learning.

 

*Note: When Fort Bragg moves to HPCON Bravo, Fort Bragg Schools will have a 10 day window to return teachers/students back to school for those selecting on campus learning.

North Carolina Government is now allowing schools to select Plan A for Children Kindergarten through 5th grade.  This is an option, not a mandate.

-Plan A:  Minimal Social Distancing.  All students in school at the same time with enhanced health protocols.

-Middle and High Schools students must remain either in Plan B or Plan C.

100% remote learning for the remainder of the semester.

 

**Starting January 5, 2021

Cumberland County Schools current options are as follows (Plan B):

1.  Blended In-Person Learning.  A rotating schedule of in person and remote learning.

----Students will be divided into two groups:

----A group will attend school on Monday and Tuesday

----B group will attend school Thursday and Friday

----When students aren't in school they will be learning online.

----The approach to stagger re-entry prioritizes bringing in Pre-K, EC Separate, K-2, 6th grade and 9th-grade students first. 

----On the traditional elementary calendar, EC Separate and Pre-K students begin daily in-person instruction January 7.

----Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students in Cohort B begin January 7.

----Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students in Cohort A begin January 11.

----3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students in Cohort B begin January 14.

----3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students in Cohort A begin January 19.

----For secondary schools on the traditional calendar, secondary EC separate students would begin daily instruction January 7.

----6th and 9th-grade students in Cohort B begin January 7.

----6th and 9th-grade students in Cohort A begin January 11.

----7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students in Cohort B begin January 14.

----7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students in Cohort A begin January 19.

2.  Full-Time Remote Learning.  The student is enrolled in their home school and instruction will occur online with the student's assigned teacher.

3.  Cumberland K-12 Virtual School (Cumberland Academy). A new Choice Program which serves as a separate school.  CCS have reached capacity in all grade levels.  Applications are no longer being accepted.

 

**Pending positive COVID-19 metrics, CCS will transition to Plan A (Traditional Face-to-Face Learning with Minimal Social Distancing) for K-5 students beginning February 1, 2021.

Harnett County Board of Education voted on December 7, 2020 to return elementary schools to Plan B effective the week of December 14th and will continue until COVID numbers stabilize. This means K-5 students currently attending face to face will now receive instruction remotely on Wednesdays and attend face to face the other four days. Students currently receiving remote instruction are not impacted by this change.

1A.  Five-day Instruction (Grades K-5 ONLY).

1B.  Blended In-Person Learning (Grades 6-12 ONLY).  Students will be provided with a rotating schedule for both in-person and remote learning to maximize learning outcomes. This option will include a combination of face-to-face and remote instruction.

----Schedule:

----Group A: M/T in person, W/Th/F remote learning. 

----Group B:  Th/F in person, M/T/W remote learning.

2.  Full Time Remote Learning.  The student is enrolled in their home school and instruction will occur online with the student's assigned teacher.

HOKE COUNTY SCHOOLS UTILIZING PLAN B:

1.  Blended In-Person Learning.  Students will be provided with a rotating schedule for both in-person and remote learning to maximize learning outcomes. This option will include a combination of face-to-face and remote instruction.

----Schedule:

----Group A comes to school on M/W with remote learning on T/Th/F

----Group B comes to school on T/Th with remote learning on M/W/F

2.  Full Time Remote Learning. The student is enrolled in their home school and instruction will occur online with the student's assigned teacher.

 

**Starting January 6, 2021

Hoke County Schools current options are as follows (Plan A,B,C):

1A.  Blended In-Person Learning.  (Grades K-5 ONLY) Elementary students will be face-to-face Monday through Thursday.  Fridays will continue to be online-only for elementary students.

1B.  Blended In-Person Learning.  (Grades 6-12)  Middle and High School students will be on a rotating schedule for both in-person and remote learning.

----Schedule:

----Group A comes to school on M/W with remote learning on T/Th/F

----Group B comes to school on T/Th with remote learning on M/W/F

2.  Full Time Remote Learning. Available for all students.  The student is enrolled in their home school and instruction will occur online with the student's assigned teacher.

----Grades 6-12 will attend school in-person 2 days a week and remote learning 3 days a week.

--------Group B:  Th/F in person, M/T/W remote learning.

1.  Blended In-Person Learning. 

----ALL students grades K-2 will receive in-person instruction M/T/Th/F

----Grades 3-8 will continue A/B schedule:  M/T and Th/F

----High School students will continue with 100% remote learning under Plan C until a decision is made in the future

2.  Full Time Remote Learning.  The student is enrolled in their home school and instruction will occur online with the student's assigned teacher.
