Intro to Olympic Lifting

Dates: Every month, with classes beginning on the 1st Tuesday (unless federal holiday) of each month.
Days/Times: Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7 a.m. or 1:30-2:25 p.m.
Cost: $60 per month, per person
Location: Frederick Performance Enhancement Center (PEC)

The Introduction to Olympic Lifting Course provides hands on training and detailed instruction in Snatch and Clean & Jerk lifts.

Instruction is provided by USA Weightlifting Level 2 Certified Advanced Sports Performance Coach, Chris Y.

No prior experience required. Sessions are in a group setting.

Classes are open to DoD ID card holders and their guests, ages 16 years and older.

The Olympic Lifting Course is designed to develop an individual's over strength, speed, and explosive power by providing a regimented training program. This program focuses on the two Olympic Lifts, Snatch and Clean and Jerk, as well as other exercises such as the squat and deadlift. This program will help the individual by increasing strength, losing weight and improving overall health while having fun meeting new people.

Basic Barbell Training

Beginning January 2019

Dates: Every month, with classes beginning on the 1st Monday (unless federal holiday) of each month.
Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6-7 a.m. or 5-6 p.m.
Cost: $60 per month, per person
Location: Tucker Performance Enhancement Center (PEC)

The Basic Barbell Training Course teaches the 5 primary barbell movements (squat, dead-lift, bench press, overhead press and the hang clean). You will receive training and knowledge of how to appropriately perform the 5 basic movements as well as a personalized strength and conditioning program.

Instruction is provided by Andrew K., CSCS, NSCA-CPT.

Classes are open to DoD ID card holders and their guests, ages 16 years and older.

Personal Training

Reach your fitness goals with a certified personal trainer. Training sessions are located at one of our 14 MWR fitness centers.

Open to DoD cardholders and their guests, ages 16+.

  • Individual: 1-on-1 training with a certified personal trainer to meet your maximum fitness goals
  • Buddy: 2 clients train together with one personal trainer to meet their goals.
