Roar, soar, and explore! Our enchanting Library Storytime whisks young readers and their grown-ups into worlds where dinosaurs stomp, fairy tale heroes dazzle, and imagination reigns supreme. With every turn of the page, it’s not just a story—it’s a shared adventure full of giggles, snuggles, and smiles. Dive into the fun—one laugh, one tale, one memory at a time!

Storytimes help foster a child's development through books, songs, and movement activities. In storytime, children will have many opportunities to practice and master skills that are key to growing a lifelong learner. Parent/Caregivers will learn tips and tricks to practice at home to continue the learning process. This FREE program is at Throckmorton Library.

📙 Preschool Storytime:

• Tuesdays at 10 & 10:45 am 
• For ages 3 – 5 years
• Join us for a developmentally and age appropriate story time designed especially for you and your preschooler! This interactive story time helps build early literacy skills, and helps to prepare your child for kindergarten. These storytimes are filled with songs, flannel stories, books, rhymes and of course lots of fun!

📗 Toddler Storytime:

• Wednesdays at 10 & 10:45 am 
• For ages 12 – 36 months
• Join us for storytime that has your toddler in mind! This story time will help to build early literacy skills through songs, flannel stories, books, rhymes and of course lots of fun!

📘 Baby Lapsit Storytime:

• Thursdays at 10 am (September 4 – December 31, 2025, excluding holidays)
• For ages 8 weeks – 11 months
• Parents and babies interact during story time, helping to build early literacy skills. Storytimes are filled with songs, finger plays, rhymes and of course lots of tickles!

📕 Imagination Storytime!:

• Second Thursday every month at 10 am
• For ages 8 weeks – 11 months
• Parents and babies interact during Dolly Parton's Imagination Library story time, helping to build early literacy skills. Storytimes are filled with songs, finger plays, rhymes and of course lots of tickles!
